Creating a 'Plant' in SFactrix.ai is the first step towards composing a virtual setup of your factory floor. Plant is a digital representation of your organization/factory floor under which the work centers, assets, etc are placed. It is inclusive of all production units and hierarchies of an organization. Hence, creating a plant is primary and mandatory to avail all the features of SFactrix.ai.
Pre-condition – An account should be created in SFactrix prior to creating a plant. You should be an account admin to create a plant.
How to create Plant or Factory?
Login to your SFactrix.ai account by going to https://app.sfactrix.ai.
From the settings page, click on the ‘Plant’ card under organization settings.
Click the ‘Add Plant’ button towards the right corner of the plant page.
The "Add Plant" form will appear. Fill the form with proper data as shown below.
The accurate time zone should be entered as each work center location is associated with the plant.
Accurate shift hours should be entered as the metrics will be calculated as shift hours based.
Click the submit button. You will have successfully created plant.
Please note the details of each parameter required to complete the plant creation.
Field | Description |
Plant Name | Name the plant based on the type of operations. |
Time Zone | Select the time zone of your plant from the drop-down menu. |
Operation | Brief the operation of the plant |
Shift hours | The time allocated for operations to occur. In other words, factory operating hours is known as shift hours. |
How to edit or update Plant?
You should be an account admin to edit or update the plant specifics.
Steps to edit or update Plant in SFactrix:
Use your credentials and login to your SFactrix.ai account.
From the settings page, click on the ‘Plant’ card under organization settings.
Plant display page will appear.
Click the ‘Edit’ icon on the work center card you wish to edit/update.
Make the necessary plant specifics edits/update .
Click on the ‘Update’ button to save changes.
How to delete a Plant?
You can delete the plant only if are an account admin.
Steps to delete plant in SFactrix:
Login to your SFactrix.ai account.
Click on ‘Plant’ card from the settings page, under organization settings.
Plant display page will appear.
Click on the ‘Edit’ icon on the plant card you wish to delete.
Click the ‘Delete’ button on the edit plant page to delete the selected plant.
Click on the ‘Yes’ button when you receive a pop-up stating, ‘Are you sure to delete (Plant Name)’. This deletes the plant chosen.
Unable to delete a Plant setup?
You can delete the plant only when the work center, asset, manufacturing order, and work order linked to the plant are deleted.
You can delete the plant only if you are an account admin.
Can I retrieve the deleted Plant?
You will not be able to retrieve the deleted plant yourself, however, you can raise a support request and our support team will help you retrieve the deleted plant. Since this involves a lengthy process, we request you to mindfully delete the plant only when the plant is not required.
What's next?
A 'work Center' is automatically created once a plant is created. As per the recent update, creating a work center manually is not mandatory in SFactrix.ai.
