Adding the Supplier in SFactrix.ai is the seventh step in the hierarchy of setting up a smart factory. Supplier is a person/company that supplies raw materials/items/entities to another organization/manufacturing unit that can be used to produce a new product/part with the help of assets in the manufacturing environment.
Availability of the right amount of goods at the right time is essential for smooth and continuous operations in the manufacturing environment. Supplier holds responsible for delivering the goods to the factory location depending on the manufacturing needs aiding to timely productions across the factory floor.
Pre-condition – Plant, Work Center, assets, Parts and customers should be created in SFactrix.ai prior to creating adding a Supplier in SFactrix.
How to add supplier information?
Login to your SFactrix.ai account by going to https://app.sfactrix.ai.
From the settings page, under organization settings, click on the ‘Suppliers’ card.
Click the ‘Add Supplier’ button on the Suppliers page.
The 'Add Supplier' form will appear. Fill the form with proper data as shown below.
Click the submit button. You will have successfully added a Supplier.
Please note the details of each parameter required to complete the Supplier creation.
Field | Description |
Supplier Code | Enter a unique Supplier code for identification. |
Supplier Name | Enter the Supplier name. For example, the company name that supplies the required raw materials. |
Contact Name | Enter the name of the supplier. |
Address | Mention the address of the supplier/supplying company. |
Contact Number | Enter the contact number of the supplier. |
Enter the Email ID of the supplier. | |
Website | Mention the website (if any) of the supplier. |
Supplier Type | Select the type of Supplier from the drop-down menu. |
Materials Supplier | Choose 'Materials Supplier' option from the drop-down menu if the supplier is responsible for supplying the raw materials required for manufacturing products. |
Reseller | Choose 'Reseller' option from the drop-down menu if the supplier is a reseller (i.e., the person/company who sells the products bought from some other person/company) |
Manufacturer | Choose 'Reseller' option from the drop-down menu if the supplier is a manufacturer (i.e., if the supplier supplies his own manufactured goods, which can be used as a child part on the factory floor) |
Others | Choose 'Others' option from the drop-down menu if the above options do not describe the type of supplier you are looking to categorize for. |

How to edit / update Supplier Information?
Updating the information provided on SFactrix can be easily edited by following the below steps.
Steps to edit/update Part in SFactrix:
Login to your SFactrix.ai account by going to https://app.sfactrix.ai.
From the settings page, under organization settings, click on the ‘Suppliers’ card.
'Suppliers' display page will appear.
Click on the 'edit' symbol across the supplier you wish to edit on the Suppliers list page.
Make the necessary edits/update to the Suppliers specifics.
Click on ‘Update’ button to save changes.
How to delete a Supplier?
Once the manufacturing of a product is complete and you no longer wish to order the materials from a particular Supplier, SFactrix gives you the freedom to just delete the Supplier you do not wish to store in your application. Follow these simple steps.
Steps to delete Part in SFactrix:
Login to your SFactrix.ai account by going to https://app.sfactrix.ai.
From the settings page, under organization settings, click on the ‘Suppliers’ card.
'Suppliers' display page will appear.
Click on the 'edit' symbol across the supplier you wish to delete on the Suppliers list page.
Click on ‘Delete’ button to delete the Supplier information.
Click on 'Yes' button when you receive a pop-up stating, ‘Are you sure to delete. This deletes the Supplier chosen.

Once you are done creating the Supplier, the next step is to create Materials. Materials are the items/child part/raw materials used in producing a new product in the manufacturing unit.
