There are 4 different status levels for an asset which you can observe on the 'Assets' listing page (as shown below). These are automatically assigned based on the working condition of the asset in the 'Asset Controller'.

There are 4 status levels for an asset in SFactrix as explained below.

Status

Description

Running

When the machine starts running, click on the 'Start' button on the asset controller page in SFactrix application. You will observe the status changing to 'Running' on the asset listing page. Make sure to click on the 'Start' button immediately when the machine starts running to obtain accurate data metrics and performance calculations.

Break

When you wish to take a break (lunch break, toilet break etc), click on the 'Break' button on the asset controller page. This changes the status to 'Break' on the asset listing page. Please be mindful of operating on 'Break' button as it affects the data metrics, graphs, and calculations drawn w.r.t runtime and downtime.

Stop

Click on 'Stop' button on the asset controller page when the machine is done producing for the scheduled shift. Click on 'Stop' button precisely as the stop time impacts the calculation of performance, availability, and OEE of the machine.

Fault

Click on 'Fault' button on the asset controller page when the machine stops due to some fault. This changes the status to 'Fault' on the assets listing page and registers maintenance for the asset on the 'Maintenance Register' page. Fault time increases the unplanned downtime thereby affecting the asset productivity, performance, and efficiency.

Why am I unable to delete the Asset or Machines?

  1. You can delete the asset only when the parts, manufacturing orders, and work orders, linked to the Asset are deleted.

  2. You can delete the asset if you are an account admin or plant manager belonging to the same plant.

Can I retrieve the deleted Asset?

You will not be able to retrieve the deleted asset by yourself, however, you can raise a support request and our support team will help you retrieve the deleted asset. Since this involves a lengthy process, we request you to mindfully delete the asset only when the asset is not required.

What's next?

Once you are done creating the asset, the next step is to create the part/Item. Part is the subset of the product. Creating a part in SFactrix simplifies the production process by dividing the product into smaller parts and managing them efficiently.
