Preventive maintenance refers to proactively maintaining assets in an organization to prevent issues before they occur. Preventative asset maintenance ensures that the organization's machines and equipment operate optimally. It even extends the lifespan of assets by identifying the issues before it causes any significant problems.
The Fogwing Asset+ platform allows you to conduct preventative maintenance to identify and address asset issues early.
1. How to create Preventive Maintenance in the Asset+ CMMS?
Creating the preventive maintenance in the Asset+ CMMS involves scheduling of maintenance tasks ahead according to regular or periodic basis.
Steps to create preventive maintenance in Asset+:
Login to your Asset+ account by going to https://app.assetplus.ai/
Click on the Preventive Maintenance icon in the menu bar.
You can also go to the Preventive Maintenance page by clicking the setting icon and selecting the Preventive Maintenance card by clicking the Action card on the setting page.
Click on the Create PM button on the Preventive Maintenance Page.
You will be directed to the Create Preventive Maintenance form.
Fill out the Create Preventive Maintenance form with the relevant data and press Submit button.
Please look at each parameter required to create Preventive Maintenance in Asset+.
Field | Description |
Choose Asset | Choose the asset which needs preventative maintenance from the dropdown. |
Enter Work Order Name | Mention the work order name. |
Enter Work Order Description | Provide the description of the work order. |
Choose Priority | Choose priority as High, Low, or, Medium according to the preventive maintenance requirements. |
Assigned To | Assign the preventive maintenance to a maintenance engineer. |
Start Date | Mention when to start the preventative asset maintenance. |
End Date | Mention when to end the preventative asset maintenance. |
Repeat | Mention how frequently a maintenance engineer needs to conduct preventive maintenance. |
Choose Checklist | Choose a checklist from the dropdown to perform preventive maintenance. |
Automate the Trigger to Schedule in Preventive Maintenance
Trigger schedule in Create maintenance form enables the maintenance managers to schedule asset maintenance at a particular date. It also allows the maintenance managers to plan the repeated preventive maintenance process according to the asset requirements.
Start Date: The start date is to mention the date when preventive maintenance needs to be started.
End Date: The end date is to mention the date when an organization needs to stop preventive maintenance on the assets.
Repeat: The Repeat field in the trigger schedule enables the maintenance managers to mention how often an organization should perform a maintenance process. It involves four dropdown options:
Daily: Select Daily if you wish to conduct the maintenance process daily.
Weekly: Select Weekly if you wish to conduct the maintenance process weekly.
Monthly: Select Monthly if you wish to conduct a maintenance process every month.
Yearly: Select Yearly if you wish to conduct a yearly maintenance process.
Every: The "Every" field allows you to set the desired interval for preventive maintenance. You can choose from various numerical values representing days, weeks, months, or years.
2. How to edit Preventive Maintenance in the Asset+ CMMS?
Steps to view/edit preventive maintenance in Asset+ CMMS:
Login to your Asset+ account by going to https://app.assetplus.ai/
Click on the Preventive Maintenance icon in the menu bar.
You can also go to the Preventive Maintenance page by clicking the setting icon and selecting the Preventive Maintenance card by clicking the Action card on the setting page.
You will be directed to the Preventive Maintenance page, which includes a detailed view of the preventive maintenance work orders created.
Click on the three dots under the Action field against the preventive maintenance work Order you want to view/edit.
Please click on the view/ edit to view or edit a preventive maintenance work order.
You will be directed to the Edit Preventive Maintenance page, make the required changes, and click the update button.
3. How to generate a work order through preventive maintenance?
Steps to generate a work order through the preventive maintenance page in Asset+:
Login to your Asset+ account by going to https://app.assetplus.ai/
Click on the Preventive Maintenance icon in the menu bar.
You can also go to the Preventive Maintenance page by clicking the setting icon and selecting the Preventive Maintenance card by clicking the Action card on the setting page.
You will be directed to the Preventive Maintenance page, which includes a detailed view of the preventive maintenance created.
Click on the three dots under the Action field against the preventive maintenance work Order for which you want to generate a work order.
Please click on the Generate WO to generate a work order for a preventive maintenance work order.
You will receive a Generate work order form.
Update the required changes and click the submit button.
4. How to delete the preventive maintenance in Asset+ Platform?
Steps to delete preventive maintenance scheduled in Asset+:
Login to your Asset+ account by going to https://app.assetplus.ai/
Click on the Preventive Maintenance icon in the menu bar.
You will be directed to the Preventive Maintenance page, which includes a detailed view of the preventive maintenance created.
Click on the three dots under the Action field against the preventive
