Performance Metrics is defined as the representation of the quantitative measure of parameters over a period of time concerned with the operations in any industry. The Maintenance data metrics enable the user to make quicker decisions and necessary steps to improve the fault trend and avoid unplanned downtimes.
How to access the machine metrics in SFactrix?
The data metrics of one particular asset can be viewed on the metrics page. Choose the metrics page of which the data metric is to be viewed. (Asset/Maintenance/Quality).
Pre-Condition: Plant, Work Center, Assets, Parts, Work Orders, and Jobs should be created in prior. There should be an active job and the asset operations such as start, stop, break and fault performed accurately on the asset control corresponding to the machine operations in the Plant. The exact total production count and rejection count should be entered to generate accurate and meaningful live data metrics in SFactrix. work-center shift hours should be entered as the metrics will be calculated as shift hours based.
Steps to view the metrics page:
Login to your SFactrix.ai account by going to https://app.sfactrix.ai.
Go to the 'Metrics' menu available on the menu bar.
The metrics page is displayed with default to asset performance-based metrics for default assets.
How to see Maintenance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in SFactrix?
The Maintenance KPI feature displays the data/information about asset maintenance and fault trend. These metrics show the data about asset downtime, time spent on fault repairs, asset maintenance, the frequency of occurrence of faults in an asset, the type of fault that occurred, etc. This data/metrics help the user look into the time wasted/downtime and the reason for downtime enabling the user to take necessary steps to avoid such occurrence of faults in the future.
The maintenance metrics data are available for 30 days, 3 months, and 6 months.
Follow the below steps to view the Maintenance KPI metrics.
Login to your SFactrix.ai account by going to https://app.sfactrix.ai.
Go to the 'metrics' menu available on the menu bar on the left side of the page.
Click on the 'Maintenance' tab.
Choose an asset of which the data metrics are to be viewed from the drop-down list.
Choose the fault trend time period, as 30 days/3 months/ 6 months, that is to be viewed.
The metrics page will generate the complete maintenance data and fault trends successfully.
The below image shows the particular asset's maintenance data for the last 3 months.
There are 4 Maintenance metrics KPIs available in SFactrix that denote the complete fault trend of an asset. The detail of each metric is listed below.
Total Downtime:
Card 1 displays the Total Downtime of the asset from the time the Asset was set for production in a Plant. Total Downtime can be defined as the time when the asset is in the 'Stop' state during the shift hours or when the asset is in the 'Fault/maintenance' state regardless of the shift hours. The total Downtime of the assets is shown in mins.
Mean Time To Repair:
Card 2 displays Mean Time to Repair for the asset . MTTR shows the average time (in hrs) spent on maintenance/recovery from the fault of the asset chosen. These metrics are constructed from the fault time fed in the asset controller.
MTTR is calculated with the below formula:
Mean Time to Repair = Time taken to repair / Number of faults occurred
Mean Time Between Failure:
Card 3 displays the Mean Time Between Failures of the asset chosen. MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) is the meantime when the asset was available for production in a day. MTBF of the asset is shown in mins.
MTBF is calculated with the below formula:
Mean Time Between Failure = Total operational (Runtime) time / Number of faults occurred
Total Time Spent:
Card 4 displays the Total Time Spent on maintenance/recovering the fault from the time the asset was set for production in a Plant.
Total Time spent is calculated as
The sum (total service time i.e., time taken to move from fault)
The above image shows the Total Time Spent on maintenance/ recovering from the fault is 12.55 hrs, in the last 30 days.
Fault Trend Chart:
The fault Trend graph summarizes and displays when the fault occurs, the fault along with the reason for the fault is entered in the Asset Controller. Fault trend metrics can be viewed for 30 days, 3 months, and 6 months.
In the below image, the fault trend along with the fault reason is displayed for the last 30 days.
โWhat's next?
Similar to Asset maintenance metrics, SFactrix also provides Quality metrics that help the users to track Quality production data, scraps/ Rejection, and Rejection trends for 1 day, 7 days, and 30 days.
