Allocating spare parts for the maintenance work order is simplified in Fogwing asset+ CMMS software with just few clicks. You should have manager access to allocate or de-allocate the parts in the asset+ application.

You can also go to the Work Order page by clicking the setting icon and selecting the Work Order card by clicking the Action card on the setting page.

  • You will be directed to the Work Order page, which includes a detailed view of the work orders created.

  • Click on the three dots under the Action field against the Work Order for which you want to allocate parts to conduct an asset maintenance process.

Click on the 'Allocate Parts' to allocate parts in the work order.

  • The 'Allocate Parts to Work Order' form will appear.

  • Select the parts from the drop-down.

  • Mention the Reserve Quantity in the provided space, and press Allocate button.

Note: Reserve Quantity should not be more than the available quantity.

How to deallocate the parts assigned to the Work Orders.

The deallocate parts function in the Asset+ CMMS will enable the maintenance managers and engineers to deallocate the parts assigned to the work orders. The new functionality will ensure accurate tracking of parts availability by updating the Reserved Qty and Qty in Stock on the parts module when the parts are deallocated.

Steps to allocate parts in Asset+: CMMS

Once you have the asset+ platform's manager user credentials

  • Click on the Work Order icon present on the menu bar.

You can also go to the Work Order page by clicking the setting icon and selecting the Work Order card by clicking the Action card on the setting page.

  • You will be directed to the Work Order page, which includes a detailed view of the work orders created.

  • Click on the three dots under the Action field against the Work Order for which you want to deallocate the parts to conduct an asset maintenance process.

  • Click on the 'Deallocate Parts' to deallocate parts in the work order.

  • The return parts to inventory form will appear.

  • Select the parts from the dropdown and mention the number of parts you want to deallocate.

  • Click on the "Return" button to deallocate the selected parts

Once you press the return button, the parts will be deallocated and returned to the stock or part inventory. You can check the part inventory for the parts details.
