Creating and managing plants within the Fogwing Asset Plus CMMS Platform is essential for organizing assets, scheduling maintenance, and optimizing operations. This guide provides a step-by-step process for creating a plant in the Fogwing Asset Plus CMMS Platform. If you have selected the purpose of facility maintenance while creating your account with Fogwing Asset+, the term plant is used interchangeably with the facility. A facility or plant includes assets, parts, customers, suppliers, maintenance engineers, maintenance managers, and more. Hence, creating a "Plant" in Asset+ requires setting your factory Location, Shift time, time zone, plant name, and more. The plant in the Fogwing Asset+ CMMS platform can have multiple assets assigned to it.
Pre-condition – An account should be created in the Fogwing Asset+ platform before creating a plant. You need a manager login in the Asset+ application to create a plant.
1. How do you add a new plant in Asset+?
Login to your Asset+ account by going to https://app.assetplus.ai/
Click on the setting icon present on the menu bar.
Once on the settings page, click on Organization Settings in the navigation bar and then on the "Plant section."
Click on the 'Add Plant' button present on the plant page.
The 'Add Plant' form will appear.
You can enter adequate data in the concerned field.
Please note the details of each parameter required to complete the plant creation in Asset+.

Plant Name | Name the plant which requires an asset maintenance management solution. |
Plant Identifier | Generate or mention the unique plant ID for identification. |
Time Zone | Select the Time Zone according to the plant location. |
Shift Hours | Mention the shift days, number of shifts, and shift hours. |
Monthly capacity of production | Mention the total production done by the plant per month. |
UoM | Define the Standard Unit of Measurement utilized in plants to define production capacity. |
Operations | Brief the operational functions of the Plant. |
Address | Mention the address of the plant location. |
Location | Mention the plant location. |
Latitude | Mention the exact latitude of the plant. |
Longitude | Mention the precise longitude of the plant. |
3. How to View/Edit Plant in Asset+?
In the Fogwing Asset+ platform, Maintenance managers can view or edit the attributes once the plant is created. You should be a maintenance manager to update the plant specifics. This guide will walk you through the steps to view and edit plants in Asset+ to help you better organize and manage your assets.
Steps to edit or update Plant in Asset+:
Login to your Asset+ account by going to https://app.assetplus.ai/
Click on the Settings menu item present on the menu bar.
Once on the settings page, click on Organization Settings in the navigation bar and then on the "Plant section."
Asset+ Plant display page will appear.
Click the three dots on the plant card you wish to edit.
Click on the View/Edit Option to view or update the required plant attributes.
Make the necessary attribute changes or updates required.
Once you finish updating the required Plant attributes, click the Update button to save the changes made.
Steps to set the Shift Hours in the Fogwing Asset+
Login to your Fogwing Asset+ account by visiting https://app.assetplus.ai/
Click on the Settings menu item present on the menu bar.
Once on the settings page, click on Organization Settings in the navigation bar and then on the "Plant section."
Click on the three dots under the action section against the plant for which you wish to set the shift time.
Click on View/Edit to edit the shift time.
Edit Plant form will be opened.
Go to Shift Hour Section.
Select the required Shift days.
Choose the number of Shifts from the dropdown.
Mention the Shift name and hours according to the requirements.
Click on the Update button to update the shift hours.
3. How to delete a Plant in Asset+?
You can delete the plant in Asset+ if you are a maintenance manager.
Steps to delete plant in Asset+:
You can log in to your Asset+ account.
Click on the setting icon present on the menu bar.
Click on the plant card in the organization setting.
Asset+ Plant display page will appear.
Click on the three dots on the plant card you wish to delete.
Select the Delete option to delete the plant.
Once you click delete, you will receive a popup with the notification 'Are you sure to delete Plant_Name.'
Click on the Yes button to successfully delete the plant in Asset+.
Note: You can Click on NO to cancel the delete operation
4. Can I retrieve the deleted Plant in Asset+?
You will not be able to retrieve the deleted plant yourself. However, you can ask for support, and our support team will help you recover the deleted plant. Since it might involve a lengthy process, we ask you to be mindful while conducting the plant deletion process. Please delete the plant only when you are entirely sure that the Plant is of no use to your organization.
