What are the different status levels of an Asset in Asset+ CMMS?

In Fogwing Asset+, the 'Status' feature provides critical information about an organization's assets, indicating whether they are running, under maintenance, or require maintenance. The maintenance status enables the users to monitor and track the maintenance activities of each asset within the platform effectively.

As explained below, there are three status levels for an asset in Fogwing Asset+.

Status

Description

Available

By default, when an asset is created in Asset+, its status is set to 'Available.' This indicates that the asset is operational, free from faults, and fit to perform its designated production operations. The 'Available' status suggests to users that the asset is ready.

Fault

If an asset status in the Fogwing Asset+ is set to 'Fault,' it means that the asset is not fit for use and requires immediate attention to resolve the fault and return it to an operational state.

Under Maintenance

If an asset status in Fogwing Asset+ is set to 'Under Maintenance,' it indicates that the asset is currently undergoing maintenance activities and is unavailable for use in production. This status means that the asset is being serviced and should not be used until the maintenance activities are complete.
