Pre-Define Fault Code with Fogwing CMMS

Learn how to pre-define fault code for asset maintenance in the Fogwing CMMS application.

Fault code in the fogwing CMMS platform pre-defines various faults an asset might encounter in its lifespan. Fogwing CMMS enables its users to use these fault types to set asset fault names while declaring asset status as Fault and allowing them to analyze asset performance. This fault code and name are a reference for the maintenance engineers and managers while exploring the issues with the assets.

How to create a Fault Code in the Fogwing CMMS platform?

  • Click on the Fault code card in the Action card.

  • You will be directed to the Fault Code Page; click the Create Fault Code button to create the Fault Code for the first time in the fogwing CMMS application.

  • Fill in the form to add the fault code details with the relevant data.

  • Click the submit button to create a fault code.

Note: If you have previously created a fault code, you will not find the create fault code button once you are directed to the Fault code page. You can continue to fill the space provided to add the fault code details with the relevant data.

How to View/Edit fault code in the Fogwing CMMS platform?

  • Login to your Asset+ account by going to https://cmms.fogwing.net/

  • Click on the Fault Code card under the Action card on the setting page.

  • You will be directed to the Fault Code Page; click on the three dots under the action field.

  • Click the View/Edit option to view or update the fault code.

  • View/Update the changes on the Edit Fault Code page.

  • Click on the update button to successfully update the changes made.

How To delete fault codes in the Fogwing CMMS platform?

  • Login to your Fogwing CMMS account by going to https://cmms.fogwing.net/ 

  • Click on the setting icon present on the menu bar.

  • Click on the Fault Code card under the Action card on the setting page.

  • You will be directed to the Fault Code Page; click on the three dots under the action field.

  • Click on the delete option to delete the fault code.

  • You will receive a pop-up message, “Are you Sure to delete Fault_Name?" click Yes to delete the fault code, or press NO.
