We are excited to share the latest updates introduced in Fogwing CMMS Version 2.28, designed to further enhance maintenance planning, asset visibility, inventory control, and user management experience.
Key Highlights in Version 2.28
1. External Reference ID for Cross-System Traceability
You can now add External Reference IDs in Assets, Work Orders, Parts, and Purchase Orders. This helps in mapping records with external systems like SAP or Oracle, improving traceability and system integration.
2. Parts Allocation in Preventive Maintenance
Preventive Maintenance records can now have predefined parts allocation. When Work Orders are generated from PM schedules, parts will be automatically allocated. In case of low or out-of-stock parts, the system will trigger email alerts, helping you avoid execution delays.
3. Parts Category for Better Inventory ClassificationA new Category field is introduced in the Parts module, allowing better classification, filtering, and reporting of spare parts. Categories can be reused, searched, and managed across web and mobile platforms.
4. Clone Option in Preventive Maintenance
You can now quickly duplicate existing PM records using the new Clone feature. This reduces manual effort while maintaining data consistency. The cloned record will be created in Draft status with a new auto-generated PM code.
5. Signature Approval Feature in Mobile App
We have introduced a new Signature feature in the Fogwing CMMS Mobile App, allowing users to capture digital signatures while approving Work Orders. This feature allows users to capture digital signatures for Work Order approvals directly from the mobile app, ensuring accountability, reducing paperwork, and improving transparency.
6. Role-Based Restriction for Hourly Rate Visibility
To improve data security and confidentiality, hourly rate visibility is now restricted for Supervisor, Engineer, and Service Staff roles across web and mobile applications.
These enhancements are focused on improving planning accuracy, operational efficiency, inventory optimization, and overall user experience.
