We are pleased to inform you about the latest release of Fogwing CMMS v2.29, which includes several new features, enhancements, and important bug fixes aimed at improving usability, control, and overall maintenance efficiency
Below are the key highlights of this release:
1. Parent & Child Work Order Handling
Introducing the new way to group multiple work orders under single “Parent Work Order” for larger maintenance activities involves multiple assets or child assets.
Managers / Supervisors can now group multiple Work Orders and create a Parent Work Order.
Parent WO consolidates details of selected Child WOs for better tracking and reporting.
Status of Parent WO will dynamically update based on the progress of Child WOs.
Bidirectional reference between Parent and Child WOs ensures better traceability, effort tracking, and cost consolidation.
This enhancement provides better visibility for large maintenance objectives while keeping individual work orders independent.
2. Plant-Based Part Visibility & Allocation
Introducing more controls between plants or facility management at the parts management module for better organization control and governance.
Warehouse module enhanced to associate warehouses with one-to-many plants.
Plant-specific users can view only the parts available in their assigned warehouse locations.
Asset-to-parts association is now plant specific.
This ensures controlled inventory visibility and prevents cross-plant part access where not required.
3. General Enhancements & Fixes
Improved asset data import process with better validation across parent and child assets.
These updates are focused on improving operational control, traceability, and user experience across the system.
