Overview
Fogwing CMMS – Release v2.35 introduces several enhancements to improve Parts Management, Asset QR Code downloads, Work Order management, Purchase Order Requests, and maintenance reporting.
This release focuses on simplifying part allocation and warehouse transfers, improving access to Work Order summaries, providing better visibility into warehouse restocking requirements, and enhancing asset maintenance tracking.
What's New in Fogwing CMMS Release v2.35?
1. Enhanced Parts Allocation and Warehouse Transfer
The Part Allocation module has been redesigned and enhanced to provide greater flexibility in managing part reservations and warehouse transfers.
Create New Part Reservations
Users can now create a new reservation under the same Work Order whenever an additional allocation is required.
Previously, the customer's workflow required each subsequent allocation to be recorded as a new reservation rather than modifying an existing reservation. With this enhancement, users can generate a new reservation code for each additional allocation without overwriting or updating the previous reservation record.
This helps maintain a clear record of part reservations associated with a Work Order.
Transfer Parts Between Warehouses
Users can now transfer parts from one warehouse location to another directly from the Part Allocation module.
The transfer history is automatically captured in the Movement tab of Parts 360, providing better visibility and traceability of part movements between warehouse locations.
These enhancements simplify part allocation, improve inventory tracking, and provide better control over warehouse operations.
2. Enhanced Asset QR Code Download
The Asset QR Code download functionality has been enhanced to make it easier to find and download QR codes for specific assets.
Users can now filter assets based on the following options before downloading their QR codes:
Facility – Filter assets by facility
Asset Category – Select a specific asset category.
Asset – Choose the required asset.
This enhancement allows users to download QR codes for specific assets without having to search through the entire asset list, making QR code management more convenient and efficient.
3. Work Order Summary Download Option
A new download option has been introduced for AI-generated Work Order summaries.
Once the AI-generated summary has been reviewed and validated, users can now download the summary report directly from the Closed tab of the Work Order module.
Previously, users had to navigate to the summary generation page to access the generated summary for downloading.
With this enhancement, users can download validated Work Order summaries directly from the Closed tab, simplifying report access and reducing the number of steps required.
4. Warehouse Location in Purchase Order Requests and Parts Receivable
Purchase Order Requests and Parts Receivable have been enhanced with the addition of warehouse location information.
Users can now identify the warehouse location associated with the parts being ordered or received, providing better visibility into where the parts need to be restocked.
This enhancement helps maintenance and inventory teams coordinate purchasing and receiving activities more effectively while ensuring that parts are directed to the appropriate warehouse location.
5. Other Enhancements & Improvements
Along with the major features, v2.35 includes the following improvements across Fogwing CMMS:
Advanced Work Order Filters
Advanced filtering options are now available on the Work Order module page, allowing users to filter and locate Work Orders based on the available criteria more efficiently.
Subscription Controls
Subscription-based restrictions have been introduced for Basic accounts across Plant, Asset, Part, and Work Order management, helping align usage with the applicable subscription limits.
Asset Maintenance Report
A new Asset Maintenance Report is available in the Reports section. It consolidates asset maintenance history and upcoming scheduled Preventive Maintenance Work Orders into a single report, providing better visibility into completed maintenance activities and planned maintenance requirements.
We hope these enhancements help your team manage maintenance activities more efficiently and get even more value from Fogwing CMMS.
